Zenobia Scholars

Zenobia Scholars is a high-level choir formed of singers interested in Renaissance music. Some recent highlights from their history include: performing at the Monastery of Yuste, the Monastery of Santa Clara de Tordesillas, the National Gallery and St. Martin in the Fields in London, England; serving as the pilot choir within the 2016 International Singing Week with Dr. David Skinner and Alamire and as the core choir for the first Tallis Scholars Summer Course held in Spain with Peter Phillips; and performing as a solo choir at the seminar on "Selva Morale e Spirituale" by Claudio Monteverdi with Maestro Stephen Cleobury. Most notably, in 2017, the Zenobia Scholars offered a program at the Residencia de Estudiantes of Madrid, recovering the "Missa Por la Mar" by Francisco de Peñalosa, which had not been performed since the 16th century.
