Varna International Music Academy offers a unique 10-day Choral-Orchestral Conducting Workshop and a 4-week Opera and Choral-Orchestral Conducting Workshop for conducting fellows and conducting associates.
Option A: June 2-June 12, 10-day Choral-Orchestral Conducting Workshop Open to Conducting Associates and Conducting Fellows. Participants will receive:
- Score study of the GREAT MASS IN C MINOR, Mozart, under the tutelage of our internationally recognized conducting faculty.
- Opportunities to conduct portions of the concert program with professional orchestra at the Varna Festival and Congress Center. Conducting Associates will conduct only during rehearsals; Conducting Fellows will conduct during rehearsals as well as conduct one movement of Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor during the public performance at the Festival and Congress Center Concert Hall.
- A video-recording of their podium time during the public performance.
- Accommodations in three- or four-star hotels in Varna, Bulgaria (double occupancy).
- Full breakfast and lunch buffets 7 days a week.

Option B: June 2-June 30, 4-week Opera and Choral-Orchestral Conducting Workshop Open to Assistant Conductors. Participants will receive:
- Individual score study with the Academy's Maestros of the following repertoire:
- GREAT MASS IN C MINOR, Mozart & CANDIDE, Bernstein, performed concert style, June 2-16, 2019
- SUOR ANGELICA & GIANNI SCHICCHI, Puccini, June 2-23, 2019
- COSÌ FAN TUTTE, Mozart, June 9-30, 2019
- Opportunities to conduct portions of the rehearsals with opera singers, orchestra and choir at the Maestros' discretion
- Opportunities to lead rehearsals with the Opera Chorus
- Accommodations in three- or four-star hotels in Varna, Bulgaria (double occupancy)
- Full breakfast and lunch buffets 7 days a week.
