Since 1999, VIMA has offered in-depth music training and exceptional performance opportunities to musicians from around the world. Programs include opera and musical theater, choral singing, instrumental study, conducting, and collaborative piano, all led by distinguished professional faculty.

In summer 2027, VIMA expands its annual Music Academy in South Carolina with an ambitious season of training, performance, and cultural exchange. New this year, the inaugural Professor Marin Chonev Choral Festival will welcome choirs and conductors from across the United States and abroad. Academy participants receive expert instruction and perform in fully staged operas, musicals, choral-orchestral concerts, and chamber recitals at premier venues across the state. VIMA’s international performance tours carry this same commitment to artistic excellence and meaningful exchange to stages around the world. All VIMA participants become part of a growing international network of artists and are eligible to apply for future Varna International productions in the U.S. and Europe.
