Amber Dean is currently Principal Horn of Florida Grand Opera and Palm Beach Symphony. She is also adjunct professor of horn at Florida International University and is on faculty at Eastern Music Festival as Fourth Horn. Her previous positions include Fourth Horn of the Sarasota Orchestra, Second Horn of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco (Guadalajara, Mexico), and Third Horn of the Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes (Culiacan, Mexico). She has also performed with The Florida Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic, Mozart Orchestra of New York, St. Pete Opera, Symphony of the Americas, Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Miami City Ballet, Orchestra Miami, South Florida Symphony, Lancaster Festival, and the Quad City Symphony among others. She is a frequent clinician for Florida schools and youth orchestras.

 

Amber completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Western Illinois University and her Master of Music degree at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Her teachers include Richard Todd, Dale Clevenger, and Randall Faust.
