
Christy Mills
Choreographer
Christy Shealy Mills has been the director of SC Music and Dance Academy for 48 years. She has choreographed numerous musicals at various theatres in the Midlands of SC, as well as being part of many casts, both as ensemble member and playing roles. A former University of South Carolina Marching Band Coquette, she was also a featured Miss USA dancer, choreographed the Mrs. SC Pageant and won the talent competition at the Miss SC Pageant with her self-choreographed tap routine. She entertained Gatehouse Restaurant patrons every weekend for over a decade with her organ playing. Under her direction, the clogging team known as The Southeastern Stompers won the World Open Team Championship. Currently, she directs the award winning adult tap performance troupe, The Columbia Tappers. She is the mother of four grown children and also directs the Corinth Lutheran Church Handbell Choir.
