Francesca Favit

Cello

Francesca Favit studied Cello at A. Steffani Conservatory of Music in Castelfranco Veneto (Italy) under the tutelage of Prof. Teodora Campagnaro. Graduating with distinction in 2000, she continued her musical education at A. Boito Conservatory of Music in Pharma (Italy), achieving an Undergraduate Degree in chamber music and a Master's Degree in Instrumental Music Teaching.

Professionally, she has worked with multiple internationally renowned orchestras such as Orchestra of Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and the Orchestra of Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Performing in distinguished music halls, such as the Teatro Alla Scala, her engaging and rich timbre fills music halls worldwide. She has played under many internationally acclaimed conductors, such as Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, and Zubin Mehta. 

Ms. Favit has been featured at numerous music festivals, such as the Festival International in Peru, the Institute of Italian Culture in New York City, and the Teatro Nacional in Madrid. Producing music with renowned quartets such as Pezzè and the Acordes Cello Ensemble, she has recorded under several different labels such as Tactus, Decca Universal Music, and TEM. 

Francesca continues to exhibit her love for people and music by working as the Professor of Cello Performance at the Liceo XXV Aprile high school in Portogruaro, Italy. While there, she coordinates regional orchestras, promotes the training, development, and character of young musicians.
