Ivailo Nedelchev Vasilev

Since 2012, lvailo Vasilev has been an organizer and coach with Varna International. He has gone full circle from learning to play flute at Dobrin Petkov in 1981 to now teaching there. Having been a three-time recipient of the “Music and Earth” International Contest as both a student and a teacher, lvailo Vasilev proudly sees his students win both national and international awards, attend prestigious schools, and participate in master's classes. Besides Varna International Music Academy and the Muzika! Festival, he has continued to also participate in both the “Pancho Vladigerov” State Music Academy and the “Orpheus” International Academy of Music in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. lvailo Vasilev organized masterclasses for the world-famous flute player Philip Bernold, when he was a Professor at the Conservatoire National Superior, in Paris, France on two separate occasions. Additionally, he performed in a series of concerts around Rheinland-Pfalz province of Germany in 2002. You can find lvailo Vasilev actively participating in the concert life of the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, as well as in the concert activities of the teachers at the “Dobrin Petkov” National School of Music and Dance ART. Including co-organizing “Baroque Week at Radio Plovdiv” and regularly playing as a guest-member of the orchestra the Pazarjik Philharmonic and The Stara Zagora Opera.
