Symphony #2: A Plague Journal and "Homing"

A special spotlight of the festival will feature compositions by internationally renowned composer J.A.C. Redford. J.A.C. Redford is a composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor of concert, chamber and choral music, film, television and theater scores, and music for recordings. Ensembles and artists around the world have performed his work, including Joshua Bell, Anne Akiko Meyers, Bonnie Raitt, Sting, London Voices and Los Angeles Master Chorale. There are currently eight available albums devoted to his art music. Redford's television work includes Coach and St. Elsewhere. He composed the scores for The Trip to Bountiful and Newsies, conducted The Little Mermaid, and orchestrated the scores for Avatar and Skyfall, for which he also arranged and conducted Adele's Oscar-winning song. The festival will feature the world premiere of two of Redford's most recent works, Symphony #2: A Plague Journal (2020) and Muzika! Fanfare (2022), along with his cantata, Homing (2017).
