Collaborative pianist and composer Jodi Goble is Full Teaching Professor in Voice at Iowa State University, where she coaches singers, music-directs the ISU Opera Studio, and teaches diction and song literature. She received the University Award for Early Excellence in Teaching in 2015 and the University COVID-19 Award for Exceptional Effort in Face-to-Face Teaching in 2021. Before coming to Iowa, she coached and directed undergraduate opera at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, was Senior Vocal Coach and Coordinator of Opera Programs for the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and was the primary rehearsal pianist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Tanglewood Festival Chorus. Ms. Goble's art songs have been performed across the United States and worldwide and featured on National Public Radio. She is a six-time finalist in the NATS Art Song Composition Award, winning Honorable Mention in 2015 and Second Prize in 2016. She is looking forward to the Paris premiere of her comic chamber opera Meow and Forever with Really Spicy Opera in June 2023.
