Dr. Kevin Nordstrom is currently Senior Lecturer of Viola at the University of Louisville and leads a busy career as performer, recording artist, teacher, and scholar. He has concertized, taught, and lectured in North, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. As a chamber musician, he performs regularly with university colleagues and as violist of the Aurelian String Trio. His albums are distributed by OClassica Records and the American Viola Society record label and his performance videos can be found on his Vimeo page. Dr. Nordstrom is a dedicated teacher and pedagogue, being an active member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA), the American and International Viola Societies, the College Music Society (CMS), and state level Music Educators Associations. These organizations regularly invite him to contribute performance and pedagogical work to their conferences and publications, and he has provided leadership for each, serving on editorial committees and as a chapter board member.
