Natalia Rivera

Dr. Rivera has earned degrees from New England Conservatory of Music, the University of Minnesota, the Juilliard School and the University of Kansas School of Music. As a vocal coach and pianist, she has collaborated at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome, and members of the Vienna Philharmonic; with the San Francisco Opera; the Santiago Opera in Chile; the Bellas Artes Opera of San Juan, Puerto Rico; the Lyric Opera of Kansas City; and the Opera Lirica Nacional of Costa Rica. She has performed recitals throughout the United States, including the prestigious Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Alice Tully Hall in New York. Her international performances include concerts in Italy, Austria, Holland, and Japan. Dr. Rivera was Instructor of Piano and Music Director of the Opera Workshop at Vassar College; Assistant Opera Coach at the Mannes Conservatory of Music; Assistant Professor of Vocal Coaching and Accompanying at Florida State University and Assistant Professor of Vocal Coaching at the Ohio University School of Music. She is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of Vocal Coaching at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance and has also served on the faculty of the Bay View Music Festival, Orvieto Music Festival in Italy and the American Institute of Music Studies in Graz, Austria.
