Olivia Martinez is a horn player who has performed across the world, including China, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Estates Theater in Prague, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and more. Recently, she performed at the International Women's Brass Conference where she won the Marie Speziale Orchestra Mock Audition and a new Conn-Selmer horn. Olivia is Principal Horn of the Bay Atlantic Symphony and freelances throughout the Philadelphia area. Olivia wears many hats- playing jazz, natural horn, and new music. She competed with Elm Street Brass in the Fischoff Chamber Competition, becoming Semifinalists and winning the American Brass Quintet Prize. Her current quintet Amo Brass recently toured California, where they performed and taught at local public schools. Amo Brass was also Finalists at the 2023 Plowman Chamber Competition and won Honorable Mention. Olivia is pursuing a Doctorate in Musical Arts at Temple University. She earned her master's in music at Yale University and Bachelor's in Music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her current and former teachers are Randy Gardner, William Purvis, Richard Seraphinoff, Dale Clevenger, Jeff Nelsen, Wolfgang Vladar, William Browne, and Jim Deal.
