Choral Singers

World-class training and performances

Varna International Music Academy (VIMA) offers rich and versatile choral ensemble training, led by our Maestros and choir masters, in Summer 2023. Choral singers will be exposed to rich oratorio and opera repertoire featuring beautiful choral music. Join singers from throughout the country in major cities of South Carolina: the Capital City of Columbia, the historic city of Charleston, and Myrtle Beach along the breathtaking shores of the Grand Strand. NOTE: Choral singers are encouraged to apply for featured and supporting roles in the academy’s fully staged operas. To be considered, please submit a video audition and resume with your application form.

Scholarships available
  • Perform in the chorus of Verdi’s Requiem
  • One 40-minute voice lesson per week
  • Vocal masterclasses
  • Alexander Technique classes
  • 14 nights lodging in the students residencies of the University of South Carolina (double occupancy)
  • Breakfast daily (7 days a week)

Street Scene, Kurt Weill (fully-staged orchestral performances)

  • Masterclass in movement, stage techniques, stage combat
  • 25 nights lodging in South Carolina, with host families and / or students residencies (double occupancy)
  • Breakfast daily (7 days a week)
