" It is with great pleasure that I welcome and invite you to join us in a 10-day festival featuring a choral/orchestral work I have wanted to conduct for a long time: the Stabat mater by Francis Poulenc (1899-1963). Choral singers may be more familiar with his Gloria, and the lesser-known Stabat mater composed in 1951 shares its exciting and bracing harmonies and energy to the full. We will be accompanied by a large orchestra of excellent musicians taking part in the other parts of this month-long festival which we will also enjoy. And not having to cross the Atlantic means that it is extremely affordable, particularly with college dormitory housing for students. Our time together will encompass two weekends and the week in between, just right for a music-filled vacation for singers and music lovers. Again, we are just a part of a larger festival that will be thrilling to experience. Read closely the details below, and then join us! "
