What you get

Varna International Music Academy (VIMA) offers a variety of options for the summer Musical Theater Program along the breathtaking shores of the Black Sea in Varna, Bulgaria. VIMA combines prestigious performance opportunities and world-class training under the tutelage of our internationally renowned faculty.

Participants accepted into the Musical Theater Program will enjoy ensemble and supporting roles in semi-staged productions (complete with a professional orchestra).

Participation in all tracks is available to singers of all ages.

Inclusions

  • Perform in A Grand Night for Singing
  • Perform in Gift of American Song voice recital
  • Perform in chorus of Die Fledermaus
  • Voice lessons and coaching
  • Masterclasses
  • Classes in movement and stage techniques, including stage combat
  • Feldenkrais class: instruction on spinal alignment, posture and relaxation
  • Classes in contemporary dance techniques, acrobatics, and pantomime
  • 22 nights lodging in four-star hotel in Varna, Bulgaria (double occupancy)
  • Full breakfast and lunch buffets 7 days a week



NOTE: Participants may join other programs within their already paid weeks if does not conflict with their main assignment. Participants may also extend their program for an additional fee.

NOTE: Please be aware that all performances of Tales of Hoffmann and Die Fledermaus will be held at the Stara Zagora Opera House in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Preparations and rehearsals will begin in Varna. On June 7, 2020 we will move to Stara Zagora for the remainder of the academy.
