The Varna International Music Academy (VIMA) offers a variety of options for the summer Instrumentalist Program along the breathtaking shores of the Black Sea in Varna, Bulgaria. VIMA combines prestigious performance opportunities and world-class training under the tutelage of our internationally renowned faculty.
This program is open to instrumentalists seeking to develop a professional performing career as a soloist or orchestral musician. Participants choose between the YOUNG INSTRUMENTALIST PROGRAM or joining the ACADEMY ORCHESTRA. Select any of the below options or combine two or three options to customize your own program.
YOUNG INSTRUMENTALIST PROGRAM participants receive all of the inclusions listed below. No auditions are required to participate.
ACADEMY ORCHESTRA participants receive all of the same inclusions as the Young Instrumentalist Program, but will also perform as part of the VIMA Orchestra during orchestra rehearsals and performances of the Academy Repertoire. To participate in the Academy Orchestra, you must audition and be accepted into the program.
