Choral Singers

Varna International Music Academy (VIMA) offers rich and versatile choral ensemble training, led by Maestro Gregory Buchalter from the Metropolitan Opera and our Choir Master. Join musicians from across the globe in the beautiful country of Bulgaria to sing in prestigious performances and receive world-class training under the tutelage of VIMA’s internationally renowned faculty.

NOTE: Choral singers are encouraged to apply for featured and supporting roles, as well as solo(s) in VIMA’s fully staged operas or opera scenes and Broadway selections program. To be considered for a featured or supporting role, please submit a video audition and resumé along with your application form. Otherwise, only an application & resumé is required.

What's Included:

Perform in the chorus and ensemble of Così fan tutte and “From Opera to Broadway: Favorite opera scenes & Broadway selections,” under the baton of Maestro Gregory Buchalter from the Metropolitan Opera
Perform in one Liederabend recital
Voice lessons: Two 45-minute voice lessons per week, taught by our expert voice faculty
Music rehearsals with Maestro Gregory Buchalter from the Metropolitan Opera
Vocal masterclasses with the voice faculty
Italian diction classes (optional)
Lodging in 3 and/or 4-star hotels, with breakfasts provided
Ground transportation (excluding airport transfers)

Optional Add-Ons & Exclusions:

Tips & Gratuities:
An additional $10 per day will be added to your tuition price to cover all tips & gratuities on provided services & personnel.

Single Occupancy:
An additional $490 per week ($70 per day) will be added to your tuition price for single occupancy lodging.

Air Travel:
Participants are responsible for arranging all air travel. Varna International is available to assist participants with making travel arrangements, upon request.
